How to replace new ignition if the key will not turn it. I saw a video on how to replace it but they had to turn the ignition switch. Thanks

The easy way requires that the key be able to turn the existing lock cylinder. However are you SURE the problem is the key cylinder and not a bad ignition interlock solenoid or faulty transmission park switch? I would test those first as they are very common problems. Do you hear a click when you turn on the key and step on the brake? If you do the solenoid may be moving but not releasing the cylinder.

Yeah, that is the "hard way" but it's very common these days. Seems like the lock cylinders these days are real junk compared to the old ones. I remember having ones that were so worn that just about any key worked, but they didn't get stuck...
