How can I disable the automatic engine pause?

Yep, that can be annoying and it wears the starter and flexplate out. Some GMs have a dash switch (an A with a circular arrow). If yours has it, you can turn Stop/Start off for that ignition cycle by pressing it each time; it re-enables next key-on by design.

Here is a quick hack that can work

At a stop, shift to L/Manual, tap + up to the highest gear (typically 6), then shift back to D. This prevents AutoStop until you shut the car off again.

I dont have a button and my shifter only has P R N D L. IS THERE A FUSE FOR IT MAYBE?

I found the L6 paddle shifting but it didn't help.

There is no fuse for this featured, it is built into the cars programming. You might able to find someone that can program the failure out of the car, I would search google for "car PCM programming" to see if you can find someone to do that for you, it should cost about $350.00. Please let me know how it goes.
