First thing, thank you for your time and advice. I changed out the plugs on my friends van listed above. Prior to plug change, idle was around 750 RPMs. Now, it's idling around 500 RPMs. Is there an idle adjustment on these vans?

Hi,

The idle speed isn't adjustable. It is controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM). Since you just did work on the vehicle, it is possible that you may have bumped a vacuum hose and there is an engine vacuum leak? That could cause a lower idle and even a rough idle.

Here is a link that explains how to check for one:

Try that and let me know what you find.

Joe

As I was saying in the last reply, which I sent too early accidentally, my friend with the can said today it was running way worse than yesterday. Going to go look at it tomorrow.
Also, just remembered something else. I do recall hearing a hiss. Sounded like it was coming from in between the brake booster and the engine block.
Will let you know how it pans out.
Thanks once again.

Hi,

If you are hearing a hissing, then you have a leak. Let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe
