I have a hose that is leaking. I would like to replace it but don't know what it is. In the attached photo, it is the black hose with white lettering that says 3/8" SAE.

It says hydraulic hose, so I am guessing the power steering or transmission? Can you upload an image for where the hose goes to or comes from? That way I can tell for sure.

I'm not confident that what it says on the hose has anything to do with what travels through it! See the two photos. One is the connection close to the firewall and the other is closer to the front of the car.

Good call, it looks like it has been added to, where do the hoses connect to? Please follow them. Transmission cooler or power steering lines.
