I am dealing with lack of acceleration when the A/C is on. I would like to do a couple of tests before determining that the mass air flow sensor is bad.

I just replaced spark plugs and air filter. If someone can send me factory info on how to test resistance in a coil pack assembly for this vehicle I would appreciate it. I also would like to know what the fuel pressure readings would be.

I have the tools to get the job finish. I just need the specs and readings I need to have before determining what is bad.

Thanks

Hello,
Is your check engine light on? Any Codes?

Here is a helpful article on low engine power:

https://youtu.be/U1RoG3I-Oww

I have attached the ignition coil pack testing procedure as well as replacement instructions.

Fuel Pressure Specification: 380 kPa (Battery Voltage: 13.2V)

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.

No lights. Just notice the lack of acceleration when I step on the gas pedal with the A/C on. I know there’s a full load on the engine when the A/C is running and it’s a hot day out. But when that happened before it turned out to be the mass air flow sensor and I didn’t have any codes. This time I want to make sure before buying a $60.00 part. So that’s why I asked for fuel pressure reading also.

Hello,

Have you tried cleaning the mass air flow sensor? That might help.

If you get a chance to check the fuel pressure, please let me know the outcome.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Yes, I did try cleaning it but it’s so old it probably wouldn’t do anything. I will check fuel pressure and let you know what I got. Thanks for the info. You are a great help with that.

Hi, fuel pressure was good. It checked out at 55 PSI and I spray the mass air flow sensor. That seemed to help. So I’ll keep an eye on it.
