I got a running 2.2l engine from a 1990 cavalier. Complete wiring harness still attached to the engine computer and all. I put it in my car no problems, ran the wires through the firewall and reconnected the computer from the 2.2 cavalier. Plugged right in where the original one was no problems. It cranks, but I get no spark and my fuel pump does not turn on. Is there any way the wiring is completely different even though it plugs in nicely? And is there anything I could do to correct it?

Yes, it is different as long as the motor is a 1990 put your old harness back in and make sure all hook ups are there and it should start and run.
