This code can come up because the engine needs an oil change. I would make sure to change the oil filter as well.

P2C17 - Camshaft Profile Actuator Position Sensor “B” Circuit Range/Performance

So the truck loses power because it goes into "limp mode". At 50k has the oil been changed? If not change the oil and filter and then clear the codes, also does the engine make a rattling sound at idle? Lease upload a short video in your response of the engine idling from under the hood so I can hear it, this will help.

Okay, I dont think this will fix it but you never know. Does the engine make a slight rattle noise at idle when cold? Also, this can be the camshaft profile actuator having an issue as well. When this part stops working these kinds of codes will come up. Here are the locations of the camshaft position/profile sensors. Clear the codes once completed. Here is what the camshaft profile actuator looks like which is on the opposite side of the ignition coils on the valve cover. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

This guy did the sensors and the camshaft actuators coils and he said the problem went away.

So maybe it is the sensors, you usually don't see them go out at 50k
