2003 Hyundai Tiburon Replacing rear brake pads

In attempting to replace the rear pads is it necessary to remove the cable for the emergency brake? Opening the bleeder valve would not allow the piston to be depressed to remove the caliper.

The cable should be removed, for futher information I sugest consulting a repair manual.

Rear brakes that have disks instead of drum brakes require a special tool to compress the cylinder. Openeing the bleeder will not realease the piston
