when you turn the ignition switch off you cannot remove the ignition key. The engine does shut off. The ignition switch has been changed

Hi poerguy,

The ignition key can only be removed when the shift lever is in the park position.

Ensure the P indicator light is indicating when ignition key is turned to ON. If the P light is not turned on, it could be due to a faulty Park Neutral Position switch or shift lever is out of adjustment.

If above are good, check the Sport Mode fuse in engine compartment fuse box.

If fuse is good, then it could be due to a faulty ATM key lock control module or key interlock solenoid.
