2007 Hyundai Sonata Blown engine

I put oil in my 2007 Hyundai Sonata and drove off without replacing the cap and blew the engine. A repair shop said they could get me an engine with 17,000 miles from a rear-ended (no engine damage) wreck. What should this cost for parts and labor in Long Island, NY?

What did Hyundai have to say about thier warrantee on this type of damage? I know a new engine will cost 2000.00-3000.00 plus install.
