2000 Hyundai Sonata name that wire

2000 Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 139k miles

my 2000 hyundi sonata, would not start today. On top of the engine under the spark plug cover coming out of the right side is a little wire that move from right to left and then attaches to a little bracket outside the engine on the right side.(Right side if your standing in front of the car). Any ideas or to vague?
