1999 Hyundai Sonata Nothing

My Sonata when you put it in drive or reverse there is nothing, most of the time. Sometimes it works for a while and then it seams like the transmission goes to netural, and no gears work. I have to keep shutting off the engine and starting it back up for the transmission to work again, and it only works for a short period. I have changed the transmission oil and filter but to no avail. Can anyone help me with this please. Thanks

Hi there,

As you have already done what you can, there is no option but to seek the advice of a transmission specialist, there will be a few tests that they can do, to determine the exact cause of you problem, there is nothing that you can do your self with out some test equipment.
