2004 Hyundai Santa Fe Cruise Control

My wife has a Hyundai Santa Fe. The cruise control had been working fine until a day or so ago when it just quit. When she pushes the On/Off button on the steering wheel the Cruise Control engage light comes on but it will not engage. I checked the fuse and it was fine. I suppose it might be any number of electrical things but hope you have a couple of things I can check before I take it to a dealership

Hi Basalt,

Mostly when the brake switch is out of adjustment or defective it can cause the problem.

Other areas to check are the wire connectors and vacumn hose at the diaphragm.

Guess nothing wrong with the speed sensor?
