2001 Hyundai Santa Fe 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Last weekend, we had both catalytic converters replaced. However, the Santa Fe is making a rattling noise when we accelerate. Also in the past couple of days the car has died twice while ideling. Also, yesterday while we were driving up a hill, the car would barely accelerate at all. We are supposed to leave our vacation tomorrow and drive 7 hours, with the first part of the drive through the mountains. Will our car make it? Or could this be a repair that could be done in 24 hours?

If you had a new converter installed and now you hear a rattel, chances are you got a bad one and the insides are loose causing the noise and partially blocking the exhaust. That will cause the loss of power. I would have the mechanic recheck his work and the part.
