Won't restart when warm

98 Hyundai Accent 1.5L manual 300,000+km

After initial startup and short drive & after turning off the engine, if I try to restart it right away it won't start. There seems to be no fuel to the engine. If I wait another 10 minutes or so it starts up fine.

Can you suggest possible causes and fixes for this problem?

Thanks for your help,
Ken

To go further we need to find out if it lacking spark or fuel. Shut off hot, if it wont start check for spark first, then fuel pressure

Over the weekend I washed the engine and did a tune up and for the moment all seems to be working properly. The wires were "gooped" up so that might have been the problems but only time will tell.

Thanks for the assist,
Ken
