How do you replace the fuel filter in a 2006 Hyundai Azera Limited with 3.8 L. V-6 engine? Is the fuel filter in-line or in-tank type? The owner's manual recommends replace the fuel filter very 30,000 miles.

Thanks, Rudy - OKC

I don't think Hyundai's using in tank filters. It should be located either near the fuel tank or near the firewall under the bonnet. Try following the fuel line from the reservoir to the engine compartment. Cheers.

Technopro, Thank you for your info and reply. Yesterday, I talked to a Hyundai Service Manager in OKC, and he informed me that my 2006 Hyundai Azera has an in-tank, self cleaning fuel filter that doesn't need normal maintenance. It back-flushes using the return fuel line. My operatior's manual is incorrect, acccording to him.

Thanks again, Rudy -- OKC
