My car started getting difficult to put into any gear one day. Have to put more effort into putting it into drive and back.

The marker is off and isnt locking into place like it used to

like the marker will be next to neutral but really its in drive pretty much the marker is useless for seeing what gear its in.

sometimes it wont go into park. Now it will only start in neutral it wont crank unless I play with it around neutral.

the car runs fine, in reverse or drive there is not actual driving problems once its on and in gear

Hi captkerk5,

Thank you for the donation.

Seems the shift cable is faulty causing the stiffness and inaccurate position and inability to start.

Get the cable checked to see if it is out of adjustment or faulty.
