When I start the car, this is every time it sits and cools down, the power steering sounds like the belt is slipping, however, its not. The belt is fine.I recently changed the power steering fluid, which made it worse. Do you think the pump is bad, and if so is there a way for me to check it to be sure

Are you sure the PS pump is causing the noise or could it be a different accessory or a loose belt?

Scshane367 I have a remedy for you, I haved been driving elantra`s for a long time, try this,

pour a capful of 10W30 oil in the radiator,

since water & oil does not combine, it will go directly inside the waterpump and grease

the bearings inside the pump, no need to remove the pump, you`ll see a diference in less than 2 minutes!

P.S. There is no issue whatsoever with this, a capful of oil in a radiator is nothing compare of the quantity of liquid present I the radiator
