my car is hyundai elantra 1999, I was driving today suddenly the check engine comes on and stays on even I upstart the car it also stays on.

my check engine light is red.

what's the problem?

how will it cost for fixing it?

Check engine light:

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

You need to have it scanned to find out what's really causing the CEL to come On.

I took my car today for fixing but its problem was from iginiton system, it costed about $479 plus $35 checking engine that see what's the problem

whether they got expensive from me?
