Hello,
My car has an aluminun engine block & oil
pan. I believe that the oil drain plug shoud be
tightened less than on a steel oil pan. Could you
please tell me the proper pound-feet of torque
value to correctly tighten the plug without
stripping the threads? The car is a 2006 Hyundai
Azera. Thank you. Steve

Hi:
If you have the 3.8L V6, the torque is 25.31 ft. lbs. for the oil drain bolt.
