2007 Hyundai Accent hesitation

Between the miles of 25 and 45 my car has a hesitation, like it is not hitting on all cylinders. Once I get up to 45 it smooths out. My boyfriend suggested that I put some gas treatment in it. When I went out and started it, the check engine light came on. When it idles the light stays on, when I drive it, the light blinks.

Blinking check engine light while driving means a fault that may cause damage to your catalytic converter. I suggest that you take the vehicle to your local Autozone and have the computer scanned for codes. Post the code numbers here so we can begin the proper diagnostic.
