Took my car to the dealer for an oil change. The ride home was very bouncy, even over small bumps. The dealer told me that when the car was on the lift, the rear struts decompressed and when the car was lowered, the struts did not "mesh" properly. They said that this happens occasionally and that I would be responsible for the $400 plus repair cost. I have never heard of this happening. Have you?

I have to be honest, I'm not sure what they are talking about. What do they mean they didn't mesh? Why didn't they tell you before you left? Why 400 dollars? Are they replacing something?
