FAir chance of a cv joint going bad. Take a look for a torn boot on the axle. That is a tell tale sign that you'll need an axle.

I thought it to be the cv joint as well however they changed the master cyclynder and it seems to be gone could this have been the cause?

I don't see any logic in that at all. But things like this happen in this industry. I don't see how it could cause any noise.

Unless there was a fluid restrction of a sort happening that higher pressure was put on that side causing the brakes to be making the noise.
