Shakes or Wobbles problem
2001 Hyundai Accent 4 cyl Automatic 100000 miles

Hi,

I have a 2001 Hyundai. The mileage is a guess. I recently had to have my thermostat replaced. The very next day, I noticed water leaking. The following morning, as I pulled out of my parking space, my engine was shaking, a bad smell emitted, and the 'check-engine' light came on.

I immediately pulled over.

I took it back to the same mechanics, and they said the problem with the 'check-engine' light was a misfire, and that I need to replace my spark plugs.

Could a spark plug problem manifest so quickly? Is it suspicious that it happened so immediately after the thermostat was replaced? I want to trust these guys, but I don't know enough about cars to know if the sudden problem is natural.

Thanks.

Hi there,

This can happen, it just may be a case of bad timing, there is nothing in the job he did first up that can interfere with the functions of the plugs, now if it is a plug problem so be it, I would like to know what the code was, but I feel that you shoud trust his judjment, but if thing do not workk out thern start asking questions.
