I have no heat, no air. I need to replace the dash panel control cluster(cables, hoses, electrical-whatever is behind there. A local shop advised me that they could not order the part and that I needed to locate it via internet. I have spent 40 minutes trying to locate the part, with no success. My fan switch works, and that is about all.
Do you
have the same problem?

Before you do all of that check for a vacuum leak first as it may be a vacuum motor not working and check for a broken cable as that controls the heat/cool and is more likely your problem. check here for parts like controls etc if auto parts doesn't have it.

Thank you for the prompt response. That part has been discontinued by GM as a source of inventory. the interior of the dash plate reveals that most of the plastic connectors are fractured or broken from age/heat exposure. I literally need a new dash plate and control assembly. I think I found the part at this link http://www.wholesalegmpartsonline.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=2816967&ukey_assembly=434272 and I am waiting to hear from them as soon as they open.
