How to transfer auto lamp delay from one car to another

I want to transfer auto lamp delay from one 1997 Cougar to another that did not have it. I installed the switch that has the auto lamp wheel, but it does not work. What do I need to do?

Adding that option requires more changes. The wiring harness is different, there are also the autolamp sensor module and the autolamp relays that are needed for that system. Attached is the wiring diagram.

It likely is. Used to be that adding options wasn't enough to drive a person crazy. From around 1995-6 when the computer modules just keep stacking up it has gotten worse yearly.
