I need to remove the back part of the center console, because I want to install an armrest between the front seats. There are 2 screws on both sides of the back part of the console, I did remove them. The front and the back parts of the center console are somehow connected to each other, but how? I do not see any more screws.

Hi,

The HRV wasn't offered in the US in 2005, so I have very little technical information on it. What I did was look up a 2005 CRV which is the closest thing I have. I attached several pics below of the console and how it's removed. It shows where the fasteners are located.

Take a look and see if it helps.

Let me know.

Joe

Dear Joe, thanks for the answer! Unfortunately, the HR-V's center console is very different from CR-V's (I had a CR-V previously). There must be a hidden (I mean inside the console so it is not visible) patent or fixing between the front and back elements of the console, I think I could touch it with my finger thru the whole of the fog light switch, but do not know how to make it released.

Are there any plugs that you may have missed that have a screw under them? They blend in really well and are easy to miss.

No, there are no any screws, but I figured out for now! There are 3 clips connect the back part to the front part. I attach a photo, I marked the back part with red and with "graphite" the 3 clips.
