I cannot seem to be able to get a wrench on it, socket will not work because wires are in the way, my wrench is way to long, 22mm.
Any help would be appreciated.

There is a special socket made just for oxygen sensors. It has a groove cut in the side to go over the wires. You can find them at most hardware stores, farm and home stores, and auto parts stores. The guys who drive the tool trucks around will have them too, but they will charge more for them.
