Hello,

I have attached the replacement procedure below. This will require a few special tools to complete.

Overall, this is a straightforward procedure with few little exceptions. Be sure to use support on the suspension as you start to get the components loose. The instruction shows what to do.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

I wanted to know how to change it because I saw grease around it and on the muffler just all around. Thick grease which can only come from something like an axle, but when I lifted the car there was no tear in the boot. No fluid around the differential. All areas are clean except around the axle and the surrounding. Where can this grease be going from? I see it around the ring but that is not possible to come out. I will send pics in few.

It almost looks like the boot was replaced or packed with grease and the excess grease got everywhere. Especially on the shaft. And as it spins the great got scattered on the other components.
Try cleaning out all those components. And take it for a drive and see if the grease returns. If it does then, there is a leak. If it does not then it was just a dirty install job.

Okay. No, I don't think the axle was changed. No evidence of any type of boot removal anywhere. Wear is the same on both sides. I will wipe it off and see.
