How many gears in a trip odometer?

Trip odometer broke but the speedometer is okay, need gears for the trip odometer, don't know if there is one or two gears?

About the only place you will find those parts is in another Chrysler of that vintage. You might try calling http://www.southernspeedometer.com/ and see if they can give you the information about those as our service information doesn't break down the instrument panel that far. They may know and be able to source the parts.

Thank you Steve. I called them and they said my car has two gears to the odometer and they have them in stock. I will have to attempt to put them in myself if I cannot find someone. Thanks again, Tom

You're welcome. They will likely include some instructions with the gears if asked. Let us know how it works out and if you run into trouble you may be able to take some pictures of the drive system, that way we could look it over and say "remove this screw, pull that over there and then put this gear here." Usually" they are somewhat self explanatory though in that the parts only fit one way or if they don't they are not hard to figure out.
