My car was running fine then it just stopped. It cranks like it's going to start but doesnt. Tried spraying starter fluid and that didn't work. A mechanic said that the alarm system has a switch and a button that implies that it's a shut off switch that I guess uses combinations to set. How can I go around this or can i? All the fuses are good. The electrical is good. But before, my car did not beep when I locked/unlocked it now it beeps 2 times when unlocked and 1 time when locked. And the lights before, the little side dot red light on the drivers side always stayed on. Now it blinks. There's another red light on the dash, which now illuminates. The mechanic said that he now suspects the car having 2 alarms in it because the shut off switch one does not come stuck. Please any information will help.

Can you get a picture of these red lights? You should only have one. If you have two then he is correct that there is a second alarm installed.

If this is the case, then we may have some difficulty figuring out the other system unless you have some more info on it.

You disarm the factory system by unlocking the door with the key and that will disarm it. Basically the BCM needs to see the door lock switch close which is completing the circuit on the light green wire highlighted below.

If you have a second alarm then we need to try and remove that so can get get a picture of it and we can go from there. Thanks
