How do I put my car in low gear?

When I try to put my car in low it will only go into second gear.
The gear selector shows 2nd gear and to the right of the 2 it has L.

I figured it out, all I had to do is after I put the shifter into 2nd gear is to push the button in and press the shifter to the right and it will go into low gear. Thank you
