How do I personalize a 2002 Pontiac Bonneville security system to chirp when I arm or disarm.

I have tried by turning power to on position, holding down lock button on transmitter, then pressing the trunk lid button pushing 2, 3, and 4 times to set to another mode. But it does not chirp with each button press nor does it change the mode it is in, but the owners manual says this is how it is done. Also, I don't have the 5 button DIC. I only have the 3 button, so that doesn't work either.

U will need to buy a siren and alarm module with 2 fabs. It's not 2 expensive. Then install it, it will control everything

I was hoping for a easy answer. I gave all the info needed, not to mention money. Spending $100 bucks on a dealer to tell me what's wrong and then fix for more money isn't a very good answer. I mean I told you what the manual says to do and I described it and done it, and gave all the facts. I think if someone had the knowledge if these alarms that would be easy to answer cuz there is only so many parts to deal with. Its a passkey 111 system, but that is standard for this model and year.

I only SUGGESTED THE DEALER PARTS DEPARTMENT TO CK. THE REMOTES and the batteries. If the remote isn't working right u will never program it. The dealer told u what they thought was wrong they are not always right. U will need to make sure the remote is operational.
