How can I tell if the converter is all way in?

Not sure if converter is all way in.

Unfortunately the manual does not supply any information on this as they were not detailed at all back then. However, here is a video that will help with this:

The common thing that you need to do is hold the snot of the converter and spin it while pushing it in and you normally hear 2 of 3 clicks/clunks to get it installed. However, when it is fully installed you can spin the converter and should hear the pump spinning as well. This will sound different so just listen for the different in sound. Then you can put a straight edge across the bell housing and the snot of the converter should not be touching the straight edge.
