I recently had to replace the A/C condenser. To do so I had to remove the top of the core support on which the latch was attached. When I put it together I centered the hood latch bolts in the circles left from there being there for so long. The cable appeared to be intact, but now the hood release does not work. How can I get the hood up?
Thanks.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Okay, this is a tough one. Is the cable moving at all? If it is still attached, I want you to try something even though it is going to sound crazy.

Have a helper pull the release. While he pulls the release, with your hand tap on the hood near where the latch is located. If it doesn't release, have the helper pull and release the cable quickly while you continue tapping.

I know that sounds like a shad tree type of answer, but usually it works.

Let me know.

Joe
