My issue is the hood won’t close all the way. I originally thought it was one of the springs in the latch itself and replaced it. But I still have the same problem. Once the hood cable is connected to the smaller spring it just pulls it and stay in the open position. The lever inside the car has no tension at all on the cable. Could this possibly be the hood cable is stuck somewhere or would I need to replace the actual cable? It’s defiantly not a latch problem.

Hello,

Both of my reference guides show absolutely nothing on the hood release cable. I was able to get you the Original Equipment Manufacturer Part number and price, so you know what you should be paying in case you decide to replace it. If the cable is binding up in the sheath, I would recommend replacing it. It looks to be fairly inexpensive and what save a lot of headaches trying to find and fix the spot where it is binding. Please get back to us and let us know what you decide to do. I have included the part/price list in the diagrams below.

Thanks,
Alex
