Battery Drain

1991 hondau prelude after sitting over a day the battery is drained. 145000 miles the seat bealt lite and the door open lights have not been working in a few yrs, so I know that can not be the problem. ANY other ideas? Something is drawing on the battery.

Hi there,

A good place to start is to fit an Amp meter between Battery + and the battery lead, this will show current draw on battery. If draw is above.1-.2 amps start pulling fuses and see which circuit is drawing current, also check with Alt disconnected as a faulty diode leaking to earth could be the problem, Have the battery load tested to may sure it is not faulty, check all earths are clean and tight.
