88 Prelude power loss

I have a 88 prelude auto 2.0i dohc 280000 kms.I tend to have a loss of power and engine miss if the car heats up. The temp is not an excessive rise. It normally runs below 25% of the gauge but if it warms up to about 30-35% of gauge it starts to misfire and losses power.

Have not seen the car but from your description, I would venture that you are in the early stages of head gasket failure. A leak down test would help point to the problem. The indicators to me are the rise in temp and the miss. I would wager that very, very slowly your coolant level will drop.
