Husband removed battery cable; now can't get car alarm to reset. Alarm light is lit; but doesn't activate as expected. Have tried rmoving alarm fuse and resetting; but doesn't reset alarm. Please advise.

Try closing all doors and using the key to lock/unlock the doors and retest.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately locking/unlocking did not resolve issue. I have walked into several "Alarm shops" and they have pretty much all said the same thing. It is a Honda installed system and will need to be reset by a Honda certified mechanic. I am hoping this is something I can do without the expense.

I managed to find additional information for the disarming.

Locate the valet switch at lower left dash panel.

DISARMING ALARM

System can be disarmed by using remote transmitter or using disarm/valet switch. When system is disarmed, parking lights will flash 2 times.

To disarm system using remote transmitter, press UNLOCK button. Driver's door will unlock. Pressing button 2 times will unlock all doors. If system is in beep sound mode, horn will sound twice if alarm has not been triggered or 3 times if alarm has been triggered.

NOTE:
Ensure system switch is in AUTO or AUTO LOCK position, otherwise alarm will trigger as soon as a door is opened.

To disarm system using disarm/valet switch, unlock driver's door using key, turn ignition on, then press disarm/valet switch button. The 20 second entry delay timer is in effect only if system switch is in AUTO or AUTO LOCK position and system was not armed using remote transmitter.
