1998 Honda Prelude

Hi I got a 98 automatic prelude with a vtec engine and I am having problems when it shifts. When it trys to shift it stalls for a couple of seconds and the rpms really increase and then it will finally shift into the next gear. Would this be a transmission fluid problem or would it be the hole transmisson?

Hi there,

Best start with checking the transmission oil level and condition, if low top it up with the correct fluid and check for any leaks, if full but the oil is discolored get this checked by a transmission specialist.
