What do the "s" light but the transmission mean when its flashing and the 4sw light comes on while driving

The "s" light flashes after about 30 secs of driving and the 4WS light comes on shortly after that. During this time my speedo is not working but will come to life some times are they related and how can ot be fixed. I have had the oil changed in the transmission but it has not helped.

That is an indication something is wrong and the transmission control module has detected it. You would need to retrieve the code to find out what is wrong.

The speedometer not working is the most likely cause of it and it is usually due to a faulty vehicle speed sensor.
