My prelude will all of a sudden just dies (engine shuts off) while driving. It has died as different speeds (after just starting and after a long distance) Anyone have an idea why?

When it stalled, were the dash lights showing? Was it easy to restart?

Yes the dash lights remained on.

At times, I would have my foot on the gas with normal rpm and all of a sudden the engine dies - internal, external, dash lights remaining illuminated.

At times, it is easy to restart; but at times it takes a while.

Hi reiblan,

We have eliminated the possibility of the ignition switch and the next item I would suggest checking would be the PGM-FI main relay.

Remove relay and check circuit board for cold soilders. Resolder the board if any cracks are found on the joints.
