It has become very difficult to put the shifter into certain gears at times. It can occur randomly with any of 1-5 or R. This becomes worse when it's cold out, but can remain after warmed up. At times it is impossible to place into gear from neutral, even after "double-clutching".

The clutch fluid reservoir was a bit low, but has since been filled.

The local repair shop inspected the linkage from below and couldn't find any problems, or lack of lubrication.

Hi jeknya,

The symptoms seems to describe a faulty clutch disc. Either one or more of the clutch disc damper rubber/spring has detached or is damaged and is causing the disc to be stuck between the pressure plate and flywheel.

When that happens, stop the engine and engage 2nd gear with brakes and handbrake fully applied, start engine. If the clutch feel like it is engaged, the disc is bad.
