Hi,
I am having problems with my car, A/C fan does not go on when I turn the A/C on, and cooling fan does not go on when the engine is hot. I changed two relays on the driver side of the car next to the windshield wiper fluid (they were listed as A/C relays). I put them on and the car was hot at the time and A/C was on and both of the fans started running and then I drove the car for 5 or so miles and checked the fans with A/C on and none of them work anymore. I don't know what to replace, but then again how come they turned on in the first place when I replaced 2 A/C relays? Not in the fuse box under the hood, that one was replaced prior to replacing these two.

If anyone could help me out here before my car melts down that would be awesome.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Taniel,

Turn A/C on and if the fans don't work, give the fan housing some banging to vibrate them. If fan comes on, the fan motors are failing and would have to be replaced.

If the above don't work, you would need a test lamp or DVOM to do some diagnostics.

When the A/C was turned on, was the compressor engaging?
