Hi there, I have a standard 87 prelude 2.0Si with 278,000km on the body, but newer engine and transmission.
The transmission and cable were both replaced last summer, but recently the car had trouble with hills and acceleration. One morning I went to start it up, pressed down on the clutch, and it made its normal creaking sound, but then a snap! The peddle went limp and I couldn't shift gears.
What I am wondering is, could this be the cable again? Or be the clutch, and if so... Is it something I can do myself?

edit: when tightening the cable, it always worked as new....

Thats awkward, check to see if the cable is not broken or off its mounting location on the pedal or transmission.
