1999 Honda Passport ABS

I need help turning off my ABS light because im in Germany right now and my car is American specs and no body can read the computer or even look at it because its American could someone help me turn off the light but not completelly so I can pass inspection they need to see the ABS light coming on when the car turns on thanks.

Hi there,

you will have to get the fault repaired as the ECU will activate the fault light each time it is turned on, if you try and disconnect the ABS it will log this as a fault and keep the light on, They should still be able to do a scan with a good quality scanner.

Yea I realize that but the problem is that im in Germany and they dont deal with American spec cars so their scanners wount read my car and that is why im trying some other way to fix this thanks for the reply though any other way you think I could take care of this.

I am in Australia and my Snap on scanner dose just about anything, Local, Europe, Asia, US specs, you may have to locate a work shop that has this type of scanner, check the phone book or on line for a snap on dealer local to you and ask them who might have this scanner, try this.
