1995 Honda Passport Engine Noises

So I went to Jiffy Lube today for an oil change and they wouldn't service car because it sounded a bit like a diesel. My car is old, I know and right around the time I'm due to change the oil it sounds like this and has for years. As long as its full on oil it does not make this sound.

Should I be seriously concerned that they wouldn't service my car?

Hi mizzoupat,

It is not easy to determine why they refuse to service your vehicle and I would suggest getting a second opinion at a different place.

The noise you described seems to be from the valve lifters and if so, should be due to old age of the engine. Either live with it or rebuild the engine.
