8wont start7 Honda acccord

I have a 87 honda acord lx and it dies when it gets hot and there is no spark and I have replaced the coil but it still does it but when it sits for awile it will start again and get warm and stop again :twisted: :twisted: I have been trying to fix it and cant figure it out at all please help

The most probable cause is the EFI relay. It is located under the dash high up about where you left knee is on a left hand drive car.

It is a balck metal relay a little larger than most and is secured with a 10mm bolt. It is a common failure on your vehicle.

You need a 3 foot person with 4' arms to get it out. It is a dealer only item and about $100.00+ (US)

It isnt efi but does it still have the relay

I have a 93 Honda civic and mine was doing the same thing. I just got it fixed, it was the relay. Cost me about 90 including labor. ($20 labor) I got my coil replaced for 200 last year and it wasn't the problem!
But it hasn't been having trouble since I just got it fixed 2 weeks ago, and it's been hot here. Good luck
