i have left the car with the mechanic 4 times for this problem. the oil can lights up, and when the oil is checked, the stick is completely dry! They tighten something and say the leak is better but it never is. this last time it is with the mechanic 2 weeks, and now he says the "exhaust is sucking up the oil", and the amount of leak noticed coming from the car does not account for the disappearing oil. i am desparate as i really depend on the car. any ideas with what could the problem be?

Hi there, For external leaks, you will have to get the engine cleaned and then take it for a drive, you will soon see the fresh leaks starting, this way you should be able to see where the leaks is starting, i would go find a mechanic that wants to help you not just empty your wallet.
