The four bolts that hold the hatch lock of my Odyssey in place have become loose and the hatch no longer locks. It seems like a simple fix- as long as I can get behind the panel to re-fasten the bolts. I removed two screws on the underside of the door (one on each side of the lock), but the panel won't come loose.

How do I remove that panel? Do I need to remove to repair the lock?

Any help is appreciated.

Those 2 screws on the sides of the lock may be what is holding the lock in the door. To remove the panel, pop the 2 small plugs out of the grab handle ends and remove the retaining bolts. From there the panel will pop off the door, sometimes the clips can be a little stubborn, once one pops off, you can look behind the panel to se where the next one is to help pop it off with a long flat screwdriver
